Here at Camphouse Farm, we’re all about the real thing! We grow without the use of any pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and only use untreated seeds. Farming the old fashioned way! We grow over fifty different kinds of vegetables, and are always excited about planting new varieties and adding to our crop.
Our Story
CampHouse Farm is located on the 8th line in beautiful Oro-Medonte. We currently rent land from Sharon Mcbride, who previously ran Mcbride’s Organic Farm for 27 years with her husband Doug. We are thankful to be benefiting from soil that has been so well loved and nurtured for almost 30 years! The owner/operator of CampHouse Farm, Greg, is a 39 year old Orillian who has finally come back to his roots.
Several years ago, Greg was working on a farm in Algeria when he realized that organic farming was what he wanted to do – his path became abundantly clear. Greg spent the next two years working and interning on four different organic farms throughout Canada. The last position was at Eat Local Muskoka, where Greg brought produce to the Orillia Fairgrounds Farmer’s Market. It is here where he met the McBrides and secured a spot for his own farm!
We are currently running a 60 person CSA, going to the Fairgrounds Farmers Market on Saturdays, and are now very excited to present our new farm store, now open and in operation at our farm location in Oro-Medonte!
